Newsprint Games

Licence terms

Newsprint Games · version of 16 October 2026

1. Who we are

Newsprint Games is a service of SZ9 AB, Swedish company reg. no. 559559-3236, registered office Västerås, Sweden, VAT SE559559323601 ("we"). Contact: contact@sz9sales.com. These terms apply between us and the organisation that orders a licence on newsprintgames.com ("you"). By ordering you confirm that you may bind that organisation.

2. What you get

A non-exclusive, non-transferable right to show the games of your plan to your readers by embedding our hosted service on the domains and apps you list in your account, for as long as your subscription runs. The word game plan covers Wordhook, Ordkroken and Gancho; the both-games plan adds the AI game (What am I thinking of? / Vad tänker jag på? / ¿En qué estoy pensando?) with the monthly allowance of AI games shown when you order. You may not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the puzzles or answers, show the games elsewhere, or work around the service's limits.

3. Free trial

Every new licence starts with a free 30-day trial. With card payment, Stripe charges your card when the trial ends; with invoice payment, you receive an invoice by email when the trial ends, due in 30 days. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.

4. Subscription and cancelling

Your subscription renews automatically each month or year, as you chose. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account; the licence then ends at the end of the period already paid for. Payments are not refunded for unused parts of a period, except where the law requires it.

5. Prices and taxes

Prices are those shown when you order and exclude VAT and other taxes, which are added where they apply. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, taking effect from your next renewal. Founding-partner discounts apply as stated at the time of order.

6. The service

We host and maintain the games and aim for 99.5% monthly availability, excluding announced maintenance. New daily puzzles appear automatically and we keep adding content. The content is written for a broad general audience; if you report a puzzle as unsuitable or wrong, we replace it within two business days. Support is by email on Swedish business days.

7. AI game allowance

When the AI game's monthly allowance has been used, the AI game pauses on your site until the next month, or until you move to a larger plan. To protect readers and costs we may also limit unusual use, such as automated traffic.

8. Data protection

The word game sets no cookies, needs no account and does not track readers; progress stays in the reader's own browser. The AI game sends the reader's question text to an AI provider to produce the answer; questions that look like email addresses, phone numbers or identity numbers are blocked, and IP addresses are used only in pseudonymised form to prevent abuse. Each party is responsible for its own processing of personal data; our processing is described on our privacy page. If you need a data processing agreement, email us before your trial ends.

9. Rights and brands

We keep all rights to the games, their software, puzzles, word banks and design. You keep all rights to your name and brand, and you let us show them in the games as you set them in your account.

10. Liability

Each party is liable only for direct loss caused by its own breach of these terms. Neither party is liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or data. Our total liability per calendar year is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event. These limits do not apply to gross negligence or intent.

11. Ending the licence

We may end a licence that remains unpaid after the due date and a reminder, or that is used against these terms. When a licence ends, the games keep working for 14 days; then the word game shows its free edition with our branding and the AI game shows a short "taking a break" note, so your page never breaks.

12. Reference

We may name your publication as a customer, including your logo, unless you tell us no by email.

13. Changes and law

We may update these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new terms apply from your next renewal. Swedish law applies, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts, with Västmanland District Court as the first instance.
